Wallace Weir Fahnestock (1893 - 1970). Wallace Weir Fahnestock was an American painter and printmaker known for his landscapes, portraits, and etchings. Born in Pennsylvania, he studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and later in Europe, including time at the Académie Julian in Paris. Fahnestock worked primarily in a realist style, often focusing on the natural beauty of California, where he lived for much of his life. He became a member of the California Art Club and exhibited extensively in Southern California. His works were displayed in major exhibitions and galleries, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
