Napoleonic Museum, Ile d'Aix. The Napoleonic Museum of Ile d'Aix is a French museum located in Ile-d'Aix in Charente-Maritime, which is part of the Napoleonic National Museums.
Sharing the Museum de France label with the African museum nearby, it contains furniture, weapons, clothing, portraits and various objects evoking the epic and the legend of the Emperor Napoleon who lived in this house from 8 toJuly 15, 1815 before going to the English and leaving France for good. The Emperor's House and the gardens have been classified as Historical Monuments since 1925.
