Syriskos Painter (c-510 - c-450). The Syriskos Painter was an Attic potter and red-figure vase painter who lived around 490 to 470/60 BC. He was active in Athens. Syriskos was originally only known as a potter by his signature on a vase. In the 1990s a calyx krater signed by him as a painter was added. It is possible that he is identical to the so-called Copenhagen painter. John D. Beazley referred to the two as brothers. The affiliation of the two has not yet been conclusively clarified.
