Swedish painter and pastellist, active in Germany and France. He trained with Lars Ehrenbill, a draughtsman employed by the Admiralty in Malmö, and in Stockholm under Georg Engelhardt Schröder, a portrait painter working in the tradition of Hyacinthe Rigaud and Nicolas de Largillière.
