Artists who influenced Zhu Qizhan | Chinese painter and calligrapher. Born into a respected family of the gentry, Zhu received a traditional education, developing an early interest in painting, calligraphy and poetry. In 1912 he entered the Shanghai Academy of Fine Art, where he concentrated on the study of Western drawing and oil painting. In 1917 he went to Japan to study under Takeji Fujishima.
