Edward Duncan was a British water-colour painter, best known for his coastal views. Edward Duncan was born on 21 October 1803 at St Pancras in London. He was articled to Robert Havell, the aquatint engraver, and was thus afforded frequent opportunities of studying, and occasionally of copying, the works of William Havell.
