Irish painter and etcher. Born into a branch of the O’Conor family descended from the last kings of Ireland, he was educated at Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire. He studied at the Metropolitan School of Art in Dublin and at the Royal Hibernian Academy, before attending the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp.
