Rosselli was a student of Neri di Bicci, whose studio he entered at the age of ten, and a cousin of Cosimo Rosselli. By 1488 Rosselli seemed to be an independant artist and received a commission to decorate three walls and the ceiling of the Sala de' Signori in the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence.
